Home, again

In the last few months, I have taken a break to write more privately and to sit with projects and new personal ventures. During this time, my Lola Mary passed on to the other side. At the end of September, she called me home to the Cordillera. I hadn't anticipated going back so soon-since I had just gone in March. However, once I stepped foot on my ancestral grounds, saw the mist over the rice fields, and felt the cold, familiar chill of the danum (water), I just knew it was meant to be.

Now, I am back again-here in Honolulu.

Her spirit has iniated me. To what, I am not sure...I just know that my sense of home and what is possible expands. I am humble, grateful, and watching for signs.
