The Black Madonna
...and her many manifestations found me, this past weekend.
in my preparations to take on a new project addressing reproductive justice with women of color
in a conversation on the return of the sacred feminine hosted at Punahou between Matt Fox and Auntie Pua Kanaka‘ole-Kanahele (more on this later!)
in learning music of labor struggle from Nicki
in the honoring of the new all Pinay executive board of the NaFFAA- Region 12 chapter
and in the celebration and blessing of an urban babayalan sister's coming baby girl with nanay buwan friends
I am spinning with inspiration. And I affirmed and reminded: creation comes with honoring the fertile-ness of dark times.
Why am I so seduced by metaphors of light? Or why do I resist the grief, chaos, and letting go during the dark night? If I only trusted the revelation that unfolds after...I woud be more obedient to the lessons and not clench when they appear.
